Please join us for an unforgettable evening of Russian folk music, featuring dazzling song and dance performances by the Russian ensemble Barynya. Misha Smirnov, Barynya’s leader, will get your feet tapping before the concert when he sings and plays his garmoshka in the lobby. (You’ll recognize Misha from Barynya’s performance with us in 2007…. or as the Russian Judge from the TV program “Superstars of Dance.”) The Atlanta Balalaika Society will also perform Russian and Eastern European favorites, and will feature domra virtuoso Angelina Galashenkova-Reed.
